YOGA FOR DEPRESSION Description:
When depression is sitting on us, it can be hard to find movement in our lives. This workshop provides yoga insights tailored to alleviating the effects of depression through breath, movement and mindfulness. When we feel stuck and our mind's chatter keeps us low, the body and breath can help give us a fresh perspective and revitalized energy.

You will leave this workshop with the following:
More tools in your tool kit for managing the heaviness of depression
Yoga poses, breath work, mantras and mudras specifically geared toward lifting out of depression
A clearer understanding of how the body impacts mental wellness
Support in creating personal plan for how to apply these tools in times of need

Caitlin McWilliams, MS, RYT, is a Yoga for Mental Wellness Practitioner who uses the physical, intellectual and spiritual practice of yoga to process trauma, lift out of depression, and balance anxiety. She has practiced yoga for over 15 years and has completed a number of advanced trainings in healing modalities including Street Yoga, Yin Yoga, Thai Yoga Therapy, Reiki I and II, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra and LifeForce Yoga trainings. She continues to pursue tools for applying yoga for mental health and well-being.
