****Special Programming****

OPENING NIGHT: Friday, 8/26: Producer, Peter Tolton, will host a filmmaker Q A following the 7:15pm and 9:15pm showings.

OIL FIELD NOTES: Saturday, 8/27, 7:30pm: Author Richard Manning, who penned the Harper's Magazine March 2013 cover story, "Bakken Business: The Price of North Dakota's Fracking Boom," will relate his experiences exploring and writing about the region during the height of the oil boom. Additionally, Producer, Peter Tolton, will host a filmmaker Q A following the showing.

This artful and informative 50-minute documentary film illustrates how people cope with cycles of industrial boom and bust throughout generations, sharing stories that start from the height of the most recent oil boom. Makoshika was made by native Montanans and exclusively features Montana musicians on the film soundtrack. Makoshika will play for a week (at least!) at the spectacular Myrna Loy Center in Helena.
