Dr. Clem C. Pellett presents: Montana Justice
7:00 PM
Lewis and Clark Library
Description:
"Before I was born," says Pellett, "my grandfather was murdered in cold blood by a hitchhiker in 1951. Shortly after, the resulting emotional suffering splintered the Pellett family. As a consequence, I spent my life without an extended family or any real knowledge of this event. In 2009, I discovered 60-year-old newspaper clippings concerning the murder. From these, I found the murderer's name and to my astonishment, I learned he had been a fugitive on the lam for almost four decades. Through determination, persistence, hard work and a bit of serendipity, a year later I was finally vindicated. I found the longest standing absconder in Montana history."
