The Parade of Lights is a Downtown Holiday Tradition to celebrate Helena's historic landmark - The Firetower! The parade is co-sponsored by the Helena Business Improvement District and Downtown Helena, Inc. to gather friends and families to kick-off the holiday season with the official lighting of the world's only downtown Firetower as the Guardian of the Gulch. Parade formation starts at 5:30 p.m. at Fuller and Placer Avenues (by Finstad's Carpet One). Volunteers with orange vests will direct you to your line-up position. The parade starts at 6 p.m. and goes from Fuller Avenue to Placer, turns right onto Last Chance Gulch, proceeds through the Walking Mall past the library and Pioneer Park. The parade will end at the Lewis & Clark Library and the official lighting of the historic Fire Tower and awards will immediately follow.
