St. Peter's Hospital Association Sock Sew
9:00 AM
St. Peter's Hospital Education Center
Description:
St. Peter's Hospital Association is seeking volunteers to help sew stockings for patients who are hospitalized over the Christmas holiday, and to sew large stockings for babies born during December. All December babies get to travel home in their stocking!

The sewing, cutting and gluing will begin at 9 a.m., on Monday, December 5, in St. Peter's Education Center and continue until the stockings are completed, approximately 2 p.m. Those interested in volunteering should bring a sewing machine and scissors; all other supplies and lunch will be provided. For more information, call Arlene Matthews at 442-7264.

The Hospital Association is a volunteer organization that was formed in 1921 to support St. Peter's Hospital in providing healthcare services. All the money raised by the Association is given to the Hospital, Association members vote on how to allocate the funds raised to support priority needs at St. Peter's. Since its inception, the Association has provided over a million dollars in providing support to St. Peter's Hospital. In 2016, the Association's gift of $24,000 helped fund protective clothing for the ER crew and a Variable Respirator for Respiratory Therapy.
