Description:
The Administering board consists of 21 members; seven are public officials, seven are people chosen in accordance with democratic selection procedures to assure they are representatives of the poor in the area, and seven members are the representatives of business, industry, labor, religions, welfare, educational and other major groups and interests in the area.

The function of the Council is to plan, coordinate, evaluate and administer a community action program for the economic betterment and relief of poverty of the citizens of Lewis and Clark, Broadwater and Jefferson counties. The Council also coordinates and focuses on available funding for the purpose of enabling low income families and individuals of all ages in rural and urban areas to attain skills, knowledge, and motivations to secure opportunities for them to be self-sufficient. The Council will develop and implement other programs and projects which assist in the delivery or stimulate county development of social services.

Meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 3:30 p.m. in the RMDC Conference Room, 200 South Cruse Avenue
