Description:
HomeTown Helena is a weekly gathering of Helena area people: city, county and state officials, agency heads and representatives, business people, private citizens and anyone interested in what is going on. The program begins with an around-the-room of what's happening, followed by the main presentation. There is no membership or admission fee, just $3 for coffee, whether you drink it or not. It is usually on the 6th floor, but check the chalk board at the entrance to be sure. Attendance numbers run anywhere from 40 to over 100.

This will be another busy week at HomeTown Helena. At 7:00am Ron Whitmoyer, East Helena Superintendent of Schools, and the East Helena School Board Chair will provide an update on the new legislation that would allow a High School to be constructed in the East Helena School District based on their interpretation of the proposed legislation. Ron and the East Helena School Board have done an excellent job of improving East Helena schools over the last decade or so.

Alana Listoe has set up a brief presentation by the Volunteer Income Tax Preparation group.

The primary speaker, Johnny Ginnity - Acting Director, Veterans Affairs Montana Health Care System will provide an update on the services being offered at the V.A.
