Helena Astronomical Society Meeting
7:00 PM
Montana Wild FWP
Description:
Did Santa bring you or your household a telescope for Christmas? We've had a few clear nights since Christmas and about now you might be feeling completely overwhelmed about using this wonderful gift.

If so, bring your telescope and join the Helena Astronomical Society for "Meet Your Telescope Night" on Saturday January 25th beginning at 7pm in the Auditorium of Montana Wild - FWP located at 2668 Broadwater Avenue, Helena, MT 59601.

We will start with a night-sky update and will then show you how to assemble your telescope, how to align the finder scope, what eyepieces to use, how to know if you need to align the optics of your telescope. We'll practice all of this inside the Auditorium. Then, if we are lucky enough to have clear skies, we'll go outside and view the Pleiades, Orion Nebula, and the Andromeda Galaxy!

Our members have decades of combined telescope use. We can remove the mystery around the set up, use and upkeep of your telescope.

Thanks to our friends at the Montana Learning Center, the first 25 families to attend each get a free 2020 NASA Wall Calendar, a $12.95 value.

We hope to see you there!
