Heart-healthy Mediterranean Winetasting & Dinner, Thursday, February 7, 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. February is American Heart Month, and cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States: One in every three deaths is from heart disease and stroke, equal to 2,200 deaths per day. This evening highlights heart-healthy food and wine. The winetasting includes an appetizer of crudités with olive oil and dukkah. At 5 p.m., participants will enjoy a dinner featuring an entrée of Turkish apricot-glazed salmon served with oven-roasted rosemary potato and baked ratatouille. Dessert will be a Jordanian baklava.
