Draw Like No One Is Watching (Part 1)
6:00 PM
Montana WILD
Description:
This is part 1 of a 2 part class. Presented by: Betsy & Stephen Klippenes Skill Level: Beginner Ages: 10 Part 1: Learn to draw what you see Part 2: Learn to shade. This two-part course will combine an introduction to drawing and basic wildlife anatomy lessons with the use of a European-mounted deer skull for reference. Contour drawing is at the core of learning how to draw anything representational. Through various exercises, we will learn how to focus on the image in front of us, rather than the progress on our paper. My goal with any artwork is to capture an image’s essence, which means I trust the marks I lay down and do not erase. For this reason, I will not allow any erasers during the first portion of this course. I want to encourage the marks that would normally compel you to erase, because those marks help to build intention and conviction in your work.
