Volunteer Caregiver's Event
Montana currently has about 118,000 volunteer, non-paid caregivers. You are likely a volunteer caregiver if your loved one is unable to care for his/her self and you have stepped up to help; if you no longer have time for yourself; you feel overwhelmed balancing your own life commitments while caring for your loved one; and, you feel guilty when you simply can't do enough.

Here is an opportunity to learn to improve things. On March 14, 2018, 6 to 730 pm, you will learn how to interpret verbal and non-verbal messages communicated by your loved one and how to "connect" and communicate more effectively with him or her.

Helena Community Connections' Bridges program will host a comprehensive fun evening including dinner, music and critical information. This gathering will be HCC's careMpower program for the month of March.

Lynn Mullowney Montana Alzheimer’s Association, will present "Understanding Those Receiving Care" on Wednesday evening, March 14th.

AARP Montana will cover the cost of the catered dinner. St. Peter's Health will cater it.

"Not Quite Ripe" will provide accordion and tuba polka music. Be prepared to laugh and enjoy yourself!

The fun begins at 6 pm, first floor/main entrance, St. Peter's Health, in the Community Education Center, across from the cafeteria.

To reserve your dinner, go to the events tab at www.bridgeshcc.org. Or, phone AARP at 877-926-8300. For more detail on this event, phone Alyce at 458-8144. For respite reimbursement phone 800-224-6034.
