Ellen Baumler will share a portion of her forthcoming book at the May 20th meeting of the Last Chance Gulch Corral Dinner Club. "Life of the Afterlife in the Big Sky State" is the title of her talk. It will refer to burial sites from the ochre-covered 12,600 year old Anzick child to more recent sites that were handed down and survive for thousands of years in urban Billings.

Dr. Baumler earned her PhD from the University of Kansas in English, Classics and History. She was the interpretive historian and coordinator of the National Register sign program at the Montana Historical Society from 1992 until her recent retirement.
