Philosophy Walk
9:00 AM
Mt. Helena Trailhead (at the parking lot kiosk)
Philosophy Walk Description:
How we relate to nature is complicated and ever-evolving. What sorts of things reflect and shape our values? What sorts of challenges and concerns have arisen in the age of the anthropocene? Can conservation and technology coexist?

Please join us for our "ENVIRONMENT, TECHNOLOGY & ETHICS" philosophy walk on Saturday, June 29th from 9am-12pm where we’ll be exploring questions about:

-- The public trust doctrine
-- Environmental ethics
-- Synthetic Nature
-- The Conservation-Technology relationship
-- more...

Special guest speakers/philosophers-on-trail: Christopher Preston (Philosopher & Conservationist, University of Montana) and Patrick Kelly (Philosopher & Conservationist). FREE. $5 suggested donation.

Meeting/Hike Location: Mount Helena Trailhead (at parking lot kiosk). From there we'll take either the either the 1906 or prairie trail (For more trail info, see http://pricklypearlt.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/PPLT_map11-17_WEB-2.pdf).
