Trauma and Healing: Lessons from Literature Description:
What do Montana authors have to say about Trauma and Healing? Plenty. Join Suzanne Schwichtenberg, Adult Services Librarian of the Lewis and Clark Library, as she leads a discussion based on selections from some well-known and loved Montana classics. "Perma Red" by Debra Magpie Earling; "A River Runs Through It" by Norman MacLean; Hughie Call's "The Little Kingdom"; and stories about Manus and Maggie Dugan of Butte featured in Michael Punke's "Fire and Brimstone..." as well as "The New Montana Story: An Anthology", edited by Rick Newby, are the selections offered for this discussion. Copies of selected readings are available by calling Plymouth Church, 442-9883. The discussion will take place at Plymouth, 400 S. Oakes, on Wednesday, July 25, at 4:00 PM. There is no cost to participate.
