The final concert of the 116th season of concerts in the park performed by the State Capital Band will be August 2nd at 8:00 pm at the Memorial Park band shell. Concerts are performed under the direction of Robert Loveridge. This band is one of the longest continually performing bands in the country and features 50-60 of the finest local musicians.

Mr. Loveridge will lead the band through a wide variety of musical entertainment including marches, patriotic, classical wind ensemble pieces, Broadway and movie themes, and ballads. The pieces chosen for this evening's concert were voted as the favorites by the audience from the previous five concerts.

Picnics, blankets, lawn chairs, and children in the playground will help make the concerts an enjoyable way to spend a summer evening with family and friends.
