Description:
"We Leave The Flowers Where They Are" Book Launch Party

Friday, September 20, 5-8 PM, Large Meeting Room. Local nonprofits the Friendship Center and the YWCA will be present! Readers that evening are contributors Jessica Bruinsma, Kelley Provost, Sav Shopay, Tamara Love, Dolly Browder, Lisa Hunt, and Jain Walsh and Chelsia Rice. The emcee will be Joyce Hocker, and music will be provided by Andrea Cross Guns and Micah Heller.

Every woman has a story, and this publication encourages every community to support and cultivate women's voices. Longtime memoir instructor and novelist Richard Fifield is curator of the anthology; the collection is named after a line in a poem written by 84-year-old Marylor Wilson. Fifield is the author of The Flood Girls (Simon & Schuster, 2016) and The Small Crimes of Tiffany Templeton (Penguin, Spring 2020).

"We Leave the Flowers Where They Are" will donate $1.00 from each book supporting The Zootown Arts Community Center (ZACC) and Humanities Montana.

This event is free and open to the public. The book will be available for purchase after the reading.
