Citizens Climate Lobby Helena Meeting
5:30 PM
St Pauls United Methodist Church
Description:
The Montana Climate Assessment is out and confirms that citizens must take action on climate change. Our agriculture, forests, and water resources are at risk of a disastrous 4-6 degree temperature increase by mid-century. Citizens Climate Lobby works to create the political will to develop a real solution to our climate crisis.

Citizens Climate Lobby is a dynamic national organization with more than 400 local chapters among all 50 states, including four Montana chapters. CCL works to promote bi-partisan support for carbon fee and dividend legislation to reflect the real cost of carbon-based energy and promote clean, renewable alternatives, while providing a dividend to citizens.

On Tuesday, October 17, CCL Helena will meet from 5:30-6:30 at St Pauls United Methodist Church, 512 Logan Street. Expect education, discussion and concrete action items.
"If you want to join the fight to save the planet, to save creation for your grandchildren, there is no more effective step you could take than becoming an active member of this group."
Dr. James Hansen - Climate scientist and former head of the NASA Goddard Institute
