Philosophy Talk & Walk at Montana WILD Description:
Please join us on Thursday, October 19th from 6:30pm-8:30pm for part 2 of a 3-part Fall Philosophy Walk series concerning environmental ethics, conservation, preservation, hunting & hunting ethics, governance/policy and community. This free event will be a continuation of our walk 1 conversation from September regarding environmental ethics and conservation/preservation and specifically focus on the history of conservation & hunting, hunting v. killing, the ethics of hunting, and conceptual & practical challenges and concerns.

Guest Speakers/Co-Philosophers: Jim Posewitz (Biologist, Conservationist, Author, Emeritus Adjunct Professor of History & Philosophy, Montana State University, Founder, Orion, Emeritus Board Member, Cinnabar Foundation) & Thomas Baumeister (Education Supervisor, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Game, Executive Director, Montana WILD & Adjunct Professor, Carroll College)

Location: Presentation/Discussion to take place at Montana WILD (followed by an evening walk on adjacent trail for those interested)

Other: Beverages & Light Snacks Provided
