The Mysteries of Quantum Physics with Dr. Kelly Cline
7:00 PM
Carroll College 101/102 Simperman Hall/Wiegand Amphitheatre
Description:
Join Dr. Kelly Cline for a free, public lecture where we will explore inside the atom with quantum physics!

How do atoms work? What forces hold atoms together? Are atoms ruled by random chance? Are electrons both particles and waves? The amazing science of quantum physics tells us that the tiny particles inside atoms behave in bizarre and paradoxical ways. Einstein himself couldn’t believe that the random rules of quantum physics could be true, saying: "God does not play dice!" Yet, quantum physics is what makes all our computer technologies work.

This event is free and open to the public.
