With roots in alternative rock and country music, Matt Strachan has been a part of music scenes around the country for the last 15 years. His current project, Matt Strachan and the Hoot Owls, brings him back to his hometown of Helena, MT, where he has become well known for his high-energy country-rock performances.
"Tickets", Matt's debut album, earned Matt a spot as the Unsigned Artist of the Week in Music Connection Magazine in October of 2016. "Dogtown" (July 2018), Matt's newest release, has brought Matt to a wider audience with his first single Lost With You receiving radio play across Montana. The single was also a finalist at the Red Lodge Songwriters Festival. "Dogtown" brings everyday life, including loss, desperation, and separation, into a positive light.
