A seven time all-Ireland champion, John Whelan is one of the best Irish button accordion players currently living in the USA. He has recorded more than 15 CDs, many of them classics in the Irish Tradition. He has played in hundreds of festivals in the United States and Europe. Whelan is also a composer and teacher. His band Gailfein was recently featured at the Montana Irish Festival.
