The CHC is a private, non-profit organization with a board that consists of ten members. The authority and responsibilities of the Board are: to set policies and manage the Cooperative Health Center; to hire an executive director; to assure the Center operates within all applicable laws and regulations; to assure any physicians, either employed or contracted, are licensed and carry adequate malpractice insurance; to assure the Center complies with the policies and procedures of the Health Department of Lewis and Clark County. All CHC employees are employees of Lewis and Clark County.
