Your Lewis & Clark Library Bookmobile is launching a new book discussion group this February that will get you out and moving around. Intended for adults 18 and older, the Walk and Talk Book Club will meet during the last Bookmobile stop to Skelton Park each month.

The Lewis & Clark Library Bookmobile visits Skelton Park every other Wednesday morning from 10-10:45 AM. Bretagne Byrd, Bookmobile Librarian explains that “there is a nice sidewalk all around the park and it is an ideal place for a walking book club.” The book club is open to anyone able to access the Skelton Park Bookmobile stop.

Each month the club will read a chosen book and on the last Bookmobile stop at Skelton Park of the month, the group will take a walk around the park and discuss the book. Byrd explains that “we will have prepared questions for each discussion and tea and snacks available afterwards on the Bookmobile.” Given the Bookmobile’s tight schedule, it leaves Skelton Park promptly at 10:45 AM in order to be at the next stop, Byrd encourages everyone to arrive on time in order to participate.

Those wishing to participate in the Walk & Talk Book Club can pick up the month’s selected reading during the first Bookmobile stop of the month at Skelton Park. The first book will be available for pick February 13th from 10-10:45 AM at Skelton Park on the Bookmobile. The first discussion date will be February 27th from 10-10:45 AM at Skelton Park and the discussion walk will start at the Bookmobile.
