Do you have a calm, friendly dog, cat, bird, rabbit, or other domestic pet? Would you like to share your pet's love with others? Animal Assisted Therapy is a rewarding volunteer activity. Come (without your pet) to meet some of the special animals registered with the Helena chapter of Intermountain Therapy Animals and learn what's involved. Therapy dogs, cats, and other animals are popular visitors in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living homes, schools, adult day programs, and other locations. They brighten lives and, through the Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) program, even help children improve their reading.
