Hello All! Contra Dancing hearkens back to English, Scottish, and Irish country dance from the 17th century.The style was modified when settlers brought their dances to this country. Since then it has spread from coast to coast. Set up is in 2 long lines, with 2 couples forming groups of 4. If you have never contra danced, come at 7:30 pm for a short workshop to learn the basics. No experience necessary! It is easy to progress and have fun! $10/person or $20/family - helps pay for the band.
