Mary Stevens, of Harp for Healing, LLC, will present a lecture and demonstration of therapeutic music in ministry and healthcare settings at St. John's Lutheran Church on Saturday, October 1, from 1 to 3 in the afternoon. The presentation will include information on the history, types, and science of therapeutic music, the use of therapeutic music in ministry, and training options for therapeutic musicians. The presentation will include a generous number of musical demonstrations played on the harp.

Following the lecture/demonstration, will be an opportunity for attendees to actually play a harp. Stevens will have with her several harps of various sizes, which will be used in a "harp circle". Participants are invited to bring their own harp if they have one. Participants will play the harps together in a fun group setting.
